If using SH404SEF to create search engine friendly links in Joomla 1.0.x and your images are missing, it’s probably because index.php (without .htaccess) is ON and mambot SEF is OFF. Turn mambot SEF on. The images are missing because the are being addressed as http://yourwebsite.com/index.php/images/yourimage.gif. The index.php is in the way.
